Beers, Brothers and Burgers Galore at Our Annual Sammy Family BBQ!
ROSLYN, NY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2026 — Sixteen brothers spanning 12 chapters and five decades attended the annual Sammy Family BBQ on 9/19/26. Spouses, kids, and dogs pushed the heacdount closer to 30.
Kadima, corn hole, football and frisbee were available diversions between burgers and hot dogs. Alex Klein filled in for grillmaster Jason Springer.
Sharon Zeger from Lolly Cakes baked us bad-ass brownies and chocolate chip cookies. She will consider your custom cake commissions.
Helen Kawochka had this to say, "I love the family barbecue and doing cartwheels in the park. I can't wait for next year's." Now ten years old, she continues her perfect attendance streak all the Sammy Family BBQs. Mr Bigley was MVP -- Most Valuable Pooch!
Remaining 2026 events on the books are the business networking dinners September 29th and November 17th and Friendsgiving at NJIT. We are talking about a pickleball night, and there are agitators looking to formalize the unoffical Mineola backgammon committee. We have boots on the ground in Newark for cigar night or Portuguese dinner. Reply with your IOI.
