Fra Morrell Hosts Triumphant Tailgate at Rutgers

PISCATAWAY, NJ, SEPTEMBER 3, 2026 — The Law Offices of (Fra) Eric Morrell generously hosted a tailgate during the UMass at Rutgers Football game. A car load of Sammy Tri-Staters road tripped from NYC to birthplace of college football for the party. Eric treated the road trippers to a pre-game tour of his office, replete with Springsteen and fraternity memorabilia.
UMass alumni, friends of the firm, and Sammy alumni from NJIT, Drexel, UB, and Stony Brook all converged for the festivities. A couple undergraduate Sammies helped set up. Sal Mozzarella from Bensonhurst fed everybody.
A few Rutgers Sammy alumni saw our letters and joined the party. We got to meet their lovely families.
Though the Rutgers Scarlet Knights scored early in the game, UMass was dominant throughout the night, defeating the 29.5 point favorites 37 - 21. Fireworks at SHI Stadium capped off the evening. It was a rough day for Rutgers, but a great day for Sigma Alpha Mu!
