Fra Michael Kawochka (Nu - Buffalo, '91) has been named the Greenpoint YMCA Volunteer of the Year.
"I learned how to swim at the Greenpoint YMCA more than 40 years ago. Staff and volunteers always quietly demonstrated the importance of giving back to the community. I'm just here to help," said Fra Kawochka.
Michael has served on the on the Greenpoint YMCA's Board of Managers since 2003, splitting his time between its Membership and Executive Committees.
He also voluntarily serves our Fraternity as a Director of SAM National Properties and a board member of the Sammy Tri-State Alumni Club.
