Fine Wine, Fine Food and Fine Friends --Every Other Month

NEW YORK CITY, MAY 28 2026 — Held by links of friendship together, the Sammy Tri-State Business Networking Dinner Group just convened our third meeting of the year.

Twelve Sammies broke bread and built business bonds at Royal 35 Steakhouse. Pre-game cocktails and cigars started outside on the patio at 5pm on this balmy 79-degree day. We took the party upstairs to our private room at 6:08pm for extended schmoozing before sitting for dinner. Dessert was plated at 8:15 but we lingered til 9:45pm.

Diversity across decades and chapters is a feature of this group. Twenty somethings and septuagenarians sat side by side like pledge brothers. And all the decades in between.

"This was great, thanks for having me. Looking forward to the next one!" testified first timer Anderw Goodman (Beta, Cornell).

A curated agenda kept the conversation robust and relevant. Jake Krassner presented use cases and apps for agentic AI that saved him weeks of research and grunt work. Alternative investments got some airtime as usual. Devil's advocates and doubting Thomases probe assumptions to elevate debate and discussion. Most nights we all leave 8% smarter.

"Thanks for hosting and putting together another great dinner. As an old guy, I find the conversations around AI tremendously interesting and helpful," said Jeff Beal (Sigma Iota, Michigan).

Our charity of the month: https://charity.pledgeit.org/MillionDollarBikeRide/@KevinKelly. Fra Berti’s pledge bro from Drexel. Feel free to play along at home and donate.

We toasted young Kyle's first promotion in Corporate America. He came to us a few years ago, as an undergraduate guest. He joined the group after graduation, before finding full-time employment. We watched him secure his first job and now celebrate his first promotion. It is a pleasure to watch him grow and flourish professionally.

We meet bi-monthly on the last Tuesday of the month -- our next meeting is Tuesday July 28th. For extra credit, we are planning an off-site bourbon tasting in NJ May 30th, 2026. Reply to SammyTriState at Gmail dot com for an invitation for either.

Like all Sammy TriState committees, the business dinner group is staffed 100% by unpaid volunteers. We budget our events to break even (with a minor surplus or loss).
