Breaking Bread and Building Business Bonds -- Every Other Month

NEW YORK CITY, JULY 28 2026 — Held by links of friendship together, the Sammy Tri-State Business Networking Dinner Group just convened our fourth meeting of the year.

Fourteen Sammies broke bread and built business bonds at Royal 35 Steakhouse. We beat the heat on this balmy 81-degree day with pre-game cocktails and cigars outside on the patio at 5pm. We took the party upstairs to our private room at 6pm for extended schmoozing before sitting for dinner. Dessert was plated at 8pm but we lingered late as usual.

Special guests this month included Russ Zukowski, still in town for the Sammy Convention. Chris Karpinski made a pre-game cameo before leaving early to meet up with other brothers for the Rush Concert at MSG. Ditto Anthony Berti's son, Andrew. While Andrew is not yet a Sammy, we made a good impression on this teen legacy.

Diversity across decades and chapters is a feature of this group. Teens and elder statesmen sat side by side like pledge brothers. And all the decades in between.

A curated agenda kept the conversation robust and relevant.

We meet bi-monthly on the last Tuesday of the month -- our next meeting is Tuesday September 29th. Reply to SammyTriState at Gmail dot com for an invitation.

Upcoming events are LI Happy Hour at Spring Rock Golf Center 8/13 and the Sam Fam BBQ 9/19/26.

Like all Sammy TriState committees, the business dinner group is staffed 100% by unpaid volunteers. We budget our events to break even (with a minor surplus or loss).
